The City of Hamilton mailed residents their property tax bills on February 7th, but our office has heard from many residents who have not yet received their bills. With the February 28th due date approaching, we strongly encourage residents who are still waiting for their tax bill to visit a Municipal Service Centre (MSC) in person to obtain their installment amount and make their payment.
💡 What You Need to Know:
✔ Visit an MSC to get your tax installment amount and pay your bill.
✔ Bring valid ID if you need staff to access your account information.
✔ Follow up by email at taxsupport@hamilton.ca to request a copy of your property tax bill (which also contains your necessary Vacant Unit Tax (VUT) access code.)
📍 Nearest MSC for Ward 11 Residents: 4280 Binbrook Road (Old Town Hall)
The Glanbrook MSC is open from 8:30am to 4:30pm, Monday to Friday!
BONUS: Glanbrook Community Services is currently running a BOOK SALE while you are there!
📬 Postal Delays: If you haven’t received your bill, the delay is likely due to postal backlogs from the recent Canada Post strike. Given the tight timeline, we highly recommend visiting an MSC in person rather than waiting for a response via email.
For a full list of MSC locations, visit Hamilton Municipal Service Centres.
Don’t risk missing the deadline—visit a MSC!
